A poplar/bamboo core version has been added to the popular outline core MID FISH. The light core is a major advantage when manoeuvring in tight trees, but in contrast to the supple ride of the bamboo, this model is more powerful. By making full use of the composite sidecut, you can cruise at high speeds on big runs and confidently push into rough runs, and by utilizing the fish tail, you can also make deep bottom turns in 3D terrain parks. This is a next-generation all-around board.

ACCEL CAMBER

The Accel Camber was designed by Taro Tamai in 1998 and was featured on the Speedmaster, which was released in 2000 for testing and added to the 2001-2002 model. Conventional camber (bend) applies equal pressure to the entire edge during turns, resulting in smoother, more stable carving and turning. The camber extends approximately 3cm from the front to the center of the board, extending from its widest point. Pressing this camber against the snow surface with weight enables turning. While effective on two-dimensional (flat) slopes like ski resorts and hard snow surfaces (ice or compacted snow), in fresh or deep snow or three-dimensional natural terrain, the curve in the opposite direction to the board's direction of travel can actually catch on things, reducing free movement.

The GENTEMSTICK Accel Camber is a groundbreaking design that eliminates this snag, preventing the tip of the board from sinking into the snow, even in deep or fresh snow, and positions the board for natural buoyancy. It was developed to ensure the board's shape delivers optimal gliding performance when the rider stands on the snow in a natural position. The board is completely flat from the widest point of the nose to the front foot, with an arched bend extending from the front foot to the tail's widest point, approximately 3cm toward the center. (The peak of the arch is near the back foot.) When the rider stands on the board, the arched bend collapses, leaving the nose just touching the snow from the front foot down, or slightly elevated. This position maximizes the board's gliding performance, and is similar to the positioning required to achieve maximum speed in downhill skiing.

The accelerator camber has an arched bend between A and B.

By stepping down on your back foot, the board becomes flat and the area from the C part to the nose gently rises off the snow surface, which drastically reduces the resistance of the snow flowing under the board.

In recent years, other major companies have also released systems similar to the Accel Camber, but the key to systems like the Accel Camber, which have a bend further back than the center of the board, is the rocker design toward the nose. The original GENTEMSTICK Accel Camber is designed with particular attention to the area from where the camber ends to the widest point of the nose. The main purpose is to eliminate resistance from the snow surface on the nose.
