Japan Journals 2013

Japan Journals is a snowboarding web series based out of the fluffy depths of Japan’s snow covered wilderness.

In this episode the crew is reminded just how deep the snow gets in Japan. Nick Hyne takes the crew to stay with his host family in Minakami and then we get waist deep at Nozawa Onsen! Both areas dish up a decent amount of snow and have some classic fluffy Japanese terrain to back it up. Stay posted throughout the season to see what drags the world’s best snowboarders to this incredible part of the world.

Episode 1 features Nick Hyne, Nick Brown, Roland Morley-Brown and Dane Tiene as they come in contact with some of the world’s finest shred locations.

This time the crew heads back to Niseko in search of similar snow conditions as last year. They find some new areas that are loaded with fluffy pillows and plenty of options. Stay posted throughout the season to see what drags the world’s best snowboarders to this incredible part of the world.

Episode 2 features Nick Hyne, Nick Brown, Connor Harding, Alex Stewart and Dane Tiene as they come in contact with some of the world’s finest shred locations.

When the sun goes down, you usually put your feet up right? Not when you’re in Niseko, Japan on the Northern Island of Japan. This is when the lights come on and the shredding begins!

Episode 3 is a full night episode!
Featuring Nick Hyne, Nick Brown, Connor Harding, Alex Stewart and Dane Tiene as they take night riding to another level – riding the deepest snow earth has on offer, in the middle of the night! An array of portable lights unlock locations and features that have never been seen at night before.

This episode will leave you hankering for powder and have you wondering why you aren’t in Japan making the most of the deep stuff.
